Following an extensive £1.3m renovation of the former 16th century Plough Inn, Allerdean, we are delighted to unveil The Plough on the Hill.

Set in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, just 4 miles outside of the historic town of Berwick upon Tweed. The Plough on the Hill with it’s breathtaking views, stunning interior and delicious, local produce focused menu, will prove to be one of the finest Gastro pubs in the North East.

We are very proud to have Gary MacClean, winner of MasterChef: The Professionals Champion 2016, as our executive chef. Gary and the team have worked hard to put together a truely mouth watering menu that champions local produce from all over Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.

From fresh seafood, straight from the North Sea courtesy of the Douglas Flannigans Shellfish to organic and free range pork and beef from Peelham Farm.

Why not try something from our Inka Grill? Designed and built in the UK, The Inka is charcoal fired and is both an oven and a grill heating up to 500˚C, adding a unique flavour and texture from the finest embers, while retaining the natural juiciness of the meat for a unique and incredible taste experience.
